Shadeform Sails specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of Custom Made Membrane and Sail Shade Structures.
We use the most up to date computer structural and finite element analysis programmes to generate our membrane shapes, analyse the loadings (including pre stress and wind loadings) and generate computer cut panels.
With our 3D Modelling software we have the ability to construct your unique project on site within surrounding buildings, clearly illustrating its 3D form and the shading footprint provided at any time of the day or year. This is an excellent tool providing all stakeholders with the opportunity to view 3D shape, shade cover, sightlines, and a holistic view of the built form within the landscape.
Our state of the art 10m x 3m flat bed computerized cutting table, ensures sail panels are cut with the utmost accuracy.Our High Frequency Welding Machines enables panels to be welded together to form one continuous membrane, except Shadecloths, and eliminates stitching breakdown in UV.
We have over 30 years experience in the Sailmaking and rigging trade ( formerly as Hood Sailmakers ), together with our qualified Sail Riggers and Roll Swaging facilities.
With our background in the Marine Industry, Shadeform also specialises in Stainless Steel and Glass Balustrades, and wire rope rigging.
Shadeform believes in quality and long lasting durability. All products utilise the best marine grade Stainless Steel fittings and fixings, and are rated against the UK’s harsh coastal climate.
